John created Taranaki Hand Therapy in January 2014. He has been qualified as a Physiotherapist for 18 years and has specialised in the field of Hand Therapy for over 16 years, both in New Zealand and in the UK. John spent 10 years as the Clinical Lead in Hand Therapy at Taranaki DHB before moving to focus on Taranaki Hand Therapy. John is a New Zealand Registered Hand Therapist and is also one of the few Hand Therapists in New Zealand to hold the internationally recognised Certified Hand Therapist qualification.
When not at clinic, you might see John out swimming, cycling, running or entertaining his 2 boys.

LIZ POLLITT

Liz joined Taranaki Hand Therapy in May 2014. She has been qualified as a Physiotherapist for 18 years. Prior to joining Taranaki Hand Therapy, Liz was the Clinical Lead in Rehabilitation Physiotherapy at Taranaki DHB. Liz provides neurological as well as musculoskeletal Hand Therapy. Liz is a New Zealand Registered Hand Therapist and also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy (Acupuncture) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Sciences (Clinical Rehabilitation).
When not at clinic, Liz can be found walking, swimming, doing pilates/yoga or chasing after her children.

Liz has a special interest in dizziness and balance disorders and has successfully completed the Susan Herdman Vestibular Competence Exam. Common conditions seen for rehabilitation are: BPPV, peripheral, central and non-vestibular balance disorders and motion sensitivity. Liz maintains links with the New Zealand Dizziness & Balance Centre in Auckland.
